BREWING
The beer culture does not stand still because we're developing it.
Labietis isn't brewed according to the recipes of German barons or the traditions of our ancestors. We brew beer here and now, inspired by the diversity of world styles. Labietis began as a countercurrent to boring beer that has sunk into the shallows of industrial brewing tastes.
We're supporting local culture without falling behind global craft beer trends. Modern beer brewing is without borders.
PAGAN BREWS
The oldest archaeologically recorded beer sediments are 5000 years old. The oldest references - 13,000 years old.
Our inspiration comes from a time before beer had classification of styles and rules - when herbs and juicy fruits were used in brewing. History is enigmatic and we interpret it in flavors.
HONESTLY BREWED
Labietis started in an open space instead of a closed factory with the idea that everyone can watch the brewing process while sitting in a pub.
We stand for honest brewing and we're vouching for the quality of every ingredient, from hand-harvested heather to overseas hops or exotic fruit purees.

Brewed with juniper berries and a variety of hops derived from regional wild hops - Kazbek. Fruity and resinous, with a lightly kilned malt backbone and a blasphemously inviting finish.

€5.09Fermented with Brettanomyces yeasts typical to the Senna river valley and maturated for a couple of months on fresh Latvian blackcurrant berries and leaves of the 2023 season. In the aroma the dry and spicy notes of the blackcurrant leaves outplay the yeast esters, whose soft mossiness slightly slows the screamingly thick and brutally tart juiciness of the berries on the tongue. Pleasantly spicy horse blanket reveals istelf in the aftertaste once the juiciness recedes.

€2.93This bottle contains a latvian summer meadow in full bloom. The giddy meadowsweet and the herby yarrow are brought to a modern rhythm by the fruity bitterness of Amarillo hops. Wheat and barley malts continue this summer dance, which ends with meadowsweet in blush.

€2.90An eye-opening amber ale with mint and ginger. It starts with mint, which is complemented by the oriental freshness of ginger and the soft bitterness of Goldings hops. On the tongue lightly caramelized malts join in with juicy notes of sugarcane that help to smooth out the spiciness of ginger. In the end ginger is not the only one that warms.

On tongue they pick up some residual sweetness from honey that enriches the bittersweet bog myrtle experience, with a sparky dry lingonberry finish.

€2.83The tastescape of the latvian rural lager is a result of centuries of mingling among latvian and german brewing traditions. This contemporary version is dominated by the bready sweetness of protein rich latvian barley, which slowly fades into the gentle bitterness of Sladek hops.
