BREWING
The beer culture does not stand still because we're developing it.
Labietis isn't brewed according to the recipes of German barons or the traditions of our ancestors. We brew beer here and now, inspired by the diversity of world styles. Labietis began as a countercurrent to boring beer that has sunk into the shallows of industrial brewing tastes.
We're supporting local culture without falling behind global craft beer trends. Modern beer brewing is without borders.
PAGAN BREWS
The oldest archaeologically recorded beer sediments are 5000 years old. The oldest references - 13,000 years old.
Our inspiration comes from a time before beer had classification of styles and rules - when herbs and juicy fruits were used in brewing. History is enigmatic and we interpret it in flavors.
HONESTLY BREWED
Labietis started in an open space instead of a closed factory with the idea that everyone can watch the brewing process while sitting in a pub.
We stand for honest brewing and we're vouching for the quality of every ingredient, from hand-harvested heather to overseas hops or exotic fruit purees.

Three Indians 5%
Brashly American pale ale with a crisp and explicit bitterness. The pine and citrus aroma of Cascade and Centennial hops enrich the earthy bitterness of Columbus creating a neo-classic biterness profile. Pale ale malt soothes the tongue into a grapefruity aftertaste.

DAUGHTER OF THE KING 4.6%
British style pale ale brewed with Continental malt and New World hops. The sweet citrusy intro is followed by the gentle honeylike caramel of Vienna malt, that offers a perfect setting for the fruity bitterness of Cascade and Centennial hops. Noble balance of light malt, hops and yeast esters with a fresh resinous finish.

Wizard 7,6% (without malt)
Historical pictish wholehive heather mead, mentioned in both Ancient Roman chronicles and Scandinavian legends. The dry sparkling drink invites to the tastescape of a bee hive. The sweet aroma of propolis is followed by the flowery bee pollen and dryly mossy heather blossoms. All of which fades into a humming apiary.

Traditional english bitter with a delicate balance of hops, caramel malts and yeast esters. Interlude of the slightly outlandish bitterness of Goldings and Galaxy hops is followed by a full bodied caramel backbone matching the fruitiness of english style yeast.

SIMULACRUM 5.3%
Organoleptic manifestation of Baudrillard's simulacrum. A sharp citrusy aroma of Idaho7 hops, complemented by the primal bitterness of wormwood, literally hits the nose. Thanks to Philly Sour yeast the beer has a juicy acidity that, together with the wormwood and hops, creates a pure simulacrum of a grapefruit. With all the refreshing aftertaste and gentle astringent effect.

A seriously dark smoked beer with multifaceted bitterness. The apocalyptic aroma of deep char, smoke and tar coquettishly cover the alcohol content. The seriousness continues on the palate, permeated by the peat smoked and roasted malts, resinous fruity bitterness of Columbus hops, as well as notes of caramel and candy, which luckily keep it all in a state of tentative balance. Dried fruits and warmth in the finish.

LEGENDARY LATGALIAN WARRIOR 7.9%
Inspired by traditional Latvian rye bread. The nordicly spicy caraway enriches the scentwise related Belgian style yeast esters. On the tongue, this harmonious couple is joined by the harsh and full-bodied sweetness of rye, which completely embraces the high alcohol content. A dangerously slippery drink with the tastescape of the only real bread.

Lilac elder 6.6% (375ml)
A seasonal blend of spontaneous fermentation beers from 2020 and 2022. Shortly before bottling this beer has been lusciously dryherbed with freshly picked lilacs at 50g per liter. The result hits the nose with the bittersweet aroma of lilac, which transforms the typical horseblanket of the style into a almost melon. However, in the taste, this apparent softness is replaced by the funky and spicy bouquet of wild yeasts, while notes of synthetically bittersweet lilac remain in the background. Finishes with a lingering aftertaste of ripe summer and good mood.

PETER THE HOP 8,2%
All the rage of the 90s California captured in an imperial IPA. Brewed with the pillars of the new world of hops at that time - Columbus, Centennial, Cascade, Amarillo, and Citra. Each hop adds to the thickness of the wave of bitterness, that crashes upon a mountain of lightly caramelised malts. The epic landscape fades slowly into warmth.

VIBURNUM WILDLING 7.2% (375ml)
Berry ale brewed according to the traditional Belgian method. Fermented with yeasts of the genus Brettanomyces, after which matured for 3 months on viburnum berries picked after the first frosts, at a ratio of 1/8. The nose is immediately occupied by the haunting timber like aroma of viburnum berries. On the tongue the viburnum berries open up and the bitter aroma is complemented by a haunted sweetness with a slight acidity. Just moving into the aftertaste, wild yeast esters also appear on the scene, which allows this show to move into the tracks of conventionally recognizable flavors that draw in the bare aesthetics of a late autumn forest.
