The beer culture does not stand still because we're developing it.

Labietis isn't brewed according to the recipes of German barons or the traditions of our ancestors. We brew beer here and now, inspired by the diversity of world styles. Labietis began as a countercurrent to boring beer that has sunk into the shallows of industrial brewing tastes.

We're supporting local culture without falling behind global craft beer trends. Modern beer brewing is without borders.

PAGAN BREWS

The oldest archaeologically recorded beer sediments are 5000 years old. The oldest references - 13,000 years old.

Our inspiration comes from a time before beer had classification of styles and rules - when herbs and juicy fruits were used in brewing. History is enigmatic and we interpret it in flavors.

HONESTLY BREWED

Labietis started in an open space instead of a closed factory with the idea that everyone can watch the brewing process while sitting in a pub.

We stand for honest brewing and we're vouching for the quality of every ingredient, from hand-harvested heather to overseas hops or exotic fruit purees.

  • Dawn 5,8%

    An eye-opening amber ale with mint and ginger. It starts with mint, which is complemented by the oriental freshness of ginger and the soft bitterness of Goldings hops. On the tongue lightly caramelized malts join in with juicy notes of sugarcane that help to smooth out the spiciness of ginger. In the end ginger is not the only one that warms.

  • WHITE SPARROW 4.8%

    Loud and flashy Belgin wit brewed with a German weiss yeast. The spicy acidity of lemongrass and the lime bitterness of Wakatu hops immediately dominate the stage. The shy flufiness of wheat harmonizes the citrusy lead and ends exoticaly embraced by coriander and yeast esters.

  • Witch of Light 8%

    Historical braggot that has been found in archeological site from 1370BC in Egtved. The juicy bitterness of bog myrtle and lingonberries introduces the prehistoric drink, that is dominated by mild sweetness of wheat and honey, complemented by giddy notes of linden blossom and meadowsweet. The tart cranberries bring balance to this truly nordic tastescape.

  • Upeņu mežonis mixed fermentation beer

    BLACK CURRANT WILDLING 7,1% (375ml)

    Fermented with Brettanomyces yeasts typical to the Senna river valley and maturated for a couple of months on fresh Latvian blackcurrant berries and leaves of the 2023 season. In the aroma the dry and spicy notes of the blackcurrant leaves outplay the yeast esters, whose soft mossiness slightly slows the screamingly thick and brutally tart juiciness of the berries on the tongue. Pleasantly spicy horse blanket reveals istelf in the aftertaste once the juiciness recedes.

  • Bog honey 6,5% (without malt)

    Dry mead brewed with bog myrtle and 5% lingonberry juice. The northerly meager tastescape of a bog is introduced by the refreshing sour and bitter aromas of lingonberry and myrtle. On tongue they pick up some residual sweetness from honey that enriches the bittersweet bog myrtle experience, with a sparky dry lingonberry finish.

    All the tropical flavours to brighten your day - passion fruit, mango and pineapple from lashful addition of Strata, Idaho7 and Bru1 hops with a pleasent bitterness in a sinless non-alcoholic tastescape.

  • Aronia Witch 5,1%

    Modern berry ale with a sweet and softly tart tastescape. Chokeberry juice is fermented with a wort packed with extra light caramel malts at a ratio 1/7. That allows to degrade the berry`s natural astringency to a crispy dryness that ends in a juicy fruitiness with some light malt sweetness.

  • FERDINAND 6,5%

    A strong lager matured on chestnut chips. The rich sweetness of the lightly caramelized barley malt shines bright, balanced by the nuances of the earthy bitterness of Sladek hops and hints of booziness. The smoky nuttiness of the toasted chestnut wood chips brings this bock as close as possible to what has been brewed in wooden barrels in Einbek since the 14th century.

  • Wizard 7,6% (without malt)

    Historical pictish wholehive heather mead, mentioned in both Ancient Roman chronicles and Scandinavian legends. The dry sparkling drink invites to the tastescape of a bee hive. The sweet aroma of propolis is followed by the flowery bee pollen and dryly mossy heather blossoms. All of which fades into a humming apiary.
