BREWING
The beer culture does not stand still because we're developing it.
Labietis isn't brewed according to the recipes of German barons or the traditions of our ancestors. We brew beer here and now, inspired by the diversity of world styles. Labietis began as a countercurrent to boring beer that has sunk into the shallows of industrial brewing tastes.
We're supporting local culture without falling behind global craft beer trends. Modern beer brewing is without borders.
PAGAN BREWS
The oldest archaeologically recorded beer sediments are 5000 years old. The oldest references - 13,000 years old.
Our inspiration comes from a time before beer had classification of styles and rules - when herbs and juicy fruits were used in brewing. History is enigmatic and we interpret it in flavors.
HONESTLY BREWED
Labietis started in an open space instead of a closed factory with the idea that everyone can watch the brewing process while sitting in a pub.
We stand for honest brewing and we're vouching for the quality of every ingredient, from hand-harvested heather to overseas hops or exotic fruit purees.

Wizard 7,6% (without malt)
€3.30Historical pictish wholehive heather mead, mentioned in both Ancient Roman chronicles and Scandinavian legends. The dry sparkling drink invites to the tastescape of a bee hive. The sweet aroma of propolis is followed by the flowery bee pollen and dryly mossy heather blossoms. All of which fades into a humming apiary.

Meadow 6,3%
€2.93This bottle contains a latvian summer meadow in full bloom. The giddy meadowsweet and the herby yarrow are brought to a modern rhythm by the fruity bitterness of Amarillo hops. Wheat and barley malts continue this summer dance, which ends with meadowsweet in blush.

BLACK CURRANT WILDLING 7,1% (375ml)
€5.09Fermented with Brettanomyces yeasts typical to the Senna river valley and maturated for a couple of months on fresh Latvian blackcurrant berries and leaves of the 2023 season. In the aroma the dry and spicy notes of the blackcurrant leaves outplay the yeast esters, whose soft mossiness slightly slows the screamingly thick and brutally tart juiciness of the berries on the tongue. Pleasantly spicy horse blanket reveals istelf in the aftertaste once the juiciness recedes.

The nose is overwhelmed with the all the exotic fruit notes of Bru1, Mosaic and Citra hops, surrounded on the tongue by the sticky sweetness of oat and wheat malts. All of it underlined by fruitiness of the low flocculation yeast. A dense tastescape with a particularly long lasting aftertaste.

The sweet citrusy intro is followed by the gentle honeylike caramel of Vienna malt, that offers a perfect setting for the fruity bitterness of Cascade and Centennial hops. The confident density of the cherries, whose juice is fermented here at a ratio of 1/7, is embraced in the sweetness of lightly caramelised malts, which allow the drink to be sweetly juicy while keeping all the typical cherry traits - a brightly red density of fruitiness with a light touch of stone.

Smokey 6,4%
€3.22A dark smoked beer that has been enjoyed for millennia by anyone who bathed in smoke saunas, while the malt was kilned on top of it. The aroma is overwhelmed by notes of smoky plum with the breadiness of the dark base malts. Sweet smokiness on the tongue from the Franconian beech wood with some malty caramel and balancing grassy bitterness of Saaz hop on the finish.
