A seriously dark smoked beer with a distinctly multifaceted bitterness. The aroma is redolent with the char of roasted malts and the heaviness of malts smoked on peat coquettily covering the alcohol content. The apocalyptic seriousness continues on the palate, with the resinously fruity bitterness of Columbus hops, as well as notes of caramel and sugary toffee, keeping it all in a state of relative balance. Dried fruit and warmth on the finish.
