Beer tasting
A beer tasting is an in-depth exploration of 3–6 different beers. Style history and origins, ingredient specifics, flavour structure, food pairings, and an introduction to beer critique – each beer included in the tasting will be analysed in an entertaining way. With water breaks and snacks of your choice, the event lasts up to two hours.

The world of beer is far more diverse than simply lager and stout. At the tasting you’ll learn to navigate beer styles and historical brewing regions, and send your taste buds on a trip of discovery. You might find what styles are up your alley, and perhaps pinpoint what you’d rather avoid in the future. The world of beer is so rich that there’s no one who doesn’t like at least one kind of beer. The key is finding your own. This journey of discovery will take place in a gentle state of buzz, in the company of your friends and/or coworkers. What a way to start an evening!
Why Labietis?
Drawing on the cultural heritage of the Baltic region – from chronicles and archaeological finds to Latvian folk songs and Scandinavian myths – we brew beers, meads, and braggots that are unusual but still balanced and intriguing for the modern palate. Alongside imported hops, we use over 20 locally sourced medicinal herbs, local honey, over 10 kinds of locally foraged berries and fruits, and malt made mostly from barley, wheat, and rye grown in Latvia.
In addition to around 50 regular beers, many of which are available in the best supermarkets, several times a year we release limited-edition barrel-aged beers. Since 2019, we are the only brewery in the Baltics with its own wild-yeast catcher, and every year we release a couple of Latvian takes on the Belgian spontaneous fermentation beer tradition. #paganbrews
