Culture Taproom

This is where we started out. Here, on 27 August 2013, on the grounds of the old von Stricka brewery, we opened LABIETIS craft brewery with an adjoining taproom. For over a decade now, you can taste our latest brews and classics on 16 taps here, and this is where you’ll always find the largest selection of our non-alcoholic drinks too. The true spirit of LABIETIS is best experienced right here.

Contemporary Latvian

Over time we have become somewhat of a cornerstone of contemporary Latvian pub culture – from the ingredients in our drinks to the murals on our walls. We also host annual festivals, specially curated gigs, live sports screenings, discussion nights, and non-commercial film screenings. So we call it a culture taproom, and it’s also recognised as an official Riga cultural space by Riga City Council.

Open and fearless

This is a place where people of different generations and convictions share space respectfully, united by their love for the national drink of Latvia. Here you might bump into an old friend, your future life partner, or fellow enthusiasts ready to found an underground organisation. Thanks to the eclectic crowd, the air carries a true tavern atmosphere – from philosophical dialectics to everyday banter, and even a chess corner.
